Micro-Blaze products contain surfactants, nutrients and several strains of safe, non-pathogenic Bacillus bacteria. When applied to hydrocarbon-based or organic contaminate, the surfactant begins emulsifying the contaminants into smaller molecules for a more efficient degradation by the microbes into harmless by-products like carbon dioxide, water and trace salts.

MICRO-BLAZE MICROBIAL PRODUCTS

Micro-Blaze microbial products do not kill living organisms, it consists of a patented formulation of surfactants, nutrients and microbes (non-pathogenic bacteria) that help augment what Mother Nature has in a natural occurrence amongst the earth's soils.  When a spill or other “catastrophic” incident happens, the indigenous microbes present at the site usually become “overwhelmed” by the amount and/or toxicity of the contamination and either die off or are too few in number to handle the contamination by themselves in a timely manner.  Very often, the contamination seeps towards a vital waterway, threatening our precious water resources. Micro-Blaze microbial products were developed to attack contaminants quickly and efficiently, turning the offending hydrocarbons and other organic compounds into harmless by-products of carbon dioxide and water.

If a component, e.g. water or food source/contaminant, is taken away, Micro-Blaze microbes go dormant.  Once it rains or water is applied, the microbes become active again, seeking out contaminants to digest into harmless carbon dioxide and water.

What sets this product apart is other vegetative microbes will die off as their necessary components are taken away, the microbes in this product line are spore forming and do not die off like vegetative microbes meaning less applications are required.

Micro-Blaze has been on the EPA NCP list as a bioremediation agent for 32 years (since 1991) by passing the stringent EPA qualification test (and subsequently being tested by EPA 2 more times and easily passing each time).

In addition to being around for 32 years, Micro-Blaze is used all over the world and accepted in industries such as refineries; emergency response; firefighters; soil remediation companies; Governmental Agencies; Foreign Governments; military bases and military agencies (including U.S., UK, Australia, and Canada).

SOIL

REMEDIATION

For soil remediation projects, there’s nothing better than

Micro-Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control.

Applied with a water-type fire extinguisher, pump-up garden style sprayer,

portable eductor applicator or a fire foam eductor setup, it quickly penetrates the soil surface to the contamination and goes to work digesting the wastes.

  • Reduces odors at their origin

  • Inerts volatile “hot spots”

  • Rapid degradation of contaminants

  • Remediates in place; minimizes “cradle to grave” disposal liability, dig and haul costs

  • Reduces worker exposure to volatile hazards

  • Ships concentrated; ready to dilute with water and use - no dry packets to mix

  • Can be applied around deacon staging areas, cleaning contaminated equipment, clothing, absorbent booms, over spraying absorbent material, etc.

There are many variables in soil bioremediation - the porosity, the depth of contamination, available moisture, the oxygen supply, surface compaction, temperature and the type of contaminants are all considerations.  These determine the amount of applications and the time frame of treatment.  It is recommended to treat the area and test monthly for the amount of reductions, reapplying if needed.

Micro-Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control is a unique formulation of biological activators and selected microbes, which digest hydrocarbons and other organic wastes. Containing over 200 billion microbes per gallon, Micro-Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control will disperse the spill on contact, inert the spill to make it nonflammable, will leave no slippery residue when washed down and will bioremediate the spill in place, turning the hazardous waste into CO2 and water.

A general “rule of thumb”:  Determine the amount of contaminated soil in cubic yards.  For every 10 cubic yards of contaminated soil, have 1 gallon of Micro-   Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control concentrate.

Dilute the product with water to the percentage determined by the above variables, usually between 3% - 10%.

SPILL

CONTROL

Micro-Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control is a safe, non-toxic, microbial formulation used for bioremediation of hydrocarbons and other organic compounds. Spills and leaks are a fact of life.  They range from minor time consuming chores to major hazards. Hydraulic lines, valves, on / off loading sites, gasoline pumping areas, and maintenance bays are constantly needing to be cleaned of leaks and spills.

Micro-Blaze® Emergency Liquid Spill Control addresses these pollution problems with one of Nature's smallest yet most powerful weapons: microbes.  It was developed to attack spills and leaks quickly and efficiently, turning the offending hydrocarbons and other organic wastes into harmless by-products of carbon dioxide and water.

  • Reduces odors

  • Inerts volatile vapors

  • Ready to use - no “mix and wait Won’t  spoil” - Keep pre-mixed for emergency spills

  • 10 year shelf life

  • Reduces or eliminates “dig and haul” charges to landfills and incinerators

How long does it take the microbes to eat a gallon of oil?

It all depends on surface conditions, oxygen, water and nutrients.  If it is in a gallon bucket, it will take a very long time (unless you have aeration equipment, plenty of water and have monitoring for nutrients).  If it is spread thin, like on a roadway, it may be digested in a fairly short time as long as conditions are good.

BLAZE-OUT

Non-toxic and biodegradable, Micro-Blaze Out is the only patented concentrated microbial fire fighting agent on the market today. Our formulation contains Micro-Blaze  which is listed on the National Contingency Plan Schedule of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Treatment of organic wastes remaining from extinguished fires, treatment of AFFF waste components, and the ecological disaster in Kuwait from the 1991 Gulf War led to the development of our patented, firefighting agent Micro-Blaze Out® It is not only an excellent firefighting agent, but a safe and reliable cleaner of organic after-fire wastes.

Why is Blaze-Out superior?

  • GreenScreen certified – Does NOT contain: PFAS, PFOA, PFOS

  • Excellent fluidity creates rapid knockdown

  • The unique ingredients are quickly biodegraded by Micro-Blaze® microbes

  • Environmentally friendly replacement for current AFFF foams

  • Compatible with all current foam proportioning and delivery systems

  • pH: 6.8 - will not harm plastic or rubber fittings

  • Storage should be maintained between 35oF and 120oF. Short-term storage above or below these temperatures does not harm the microbes.

  • The microbes will not be affected by freezing temperatures.

U/L Listed for BOTH Class A & B Fires!!

Class A Fires: Mixed at 1/2% to 1%, Micro-Blaze Out offers superior fire fighting capabilities over using water alone or other "wetting" agents.

Class B Fires: Micro-Blaze Out is an environmentally effective alternative to current fire fighting foams (e.g., AFFF). It is applied the same way as typical foam products, and is most effective when used in lower concentrations (2% to 3%).

The microbial population starts to work within 20 minutes after application.  It is effective on a broad range of hydrocarbon fires that mandate a long lasting foam blanket. Micro-Blaze Out is also an excellent vapor suppressant for tank and railcar rollovers to help prevent ignition of fuels and other flammable hydrocarbons.

Advantages of Micro-Blaze Out  vs. Using Conventional Fire Foams

Runoff acceptable at wastewater treatment plants (WTPs):

Micro-Blaze Out does NOT contain any fluorosurfactants or other toxic ingredients that can cause excessive foaming in WTPs.

No Danger Of Flashback or Re-ignition:

Once Micro-Blaze Out is applied, the foam blanket smothers the fire while its penetrating properties break up the hydrocarbons molecular chain, rendering it inflammable.

Cleans the Environment:

Within minutes of application, Micro-Blaze Out® microbial blend starts to digest the hydrocarbon contaminants, converting them into harmless CO2 and water.

Requires Less Water and Product:

Saves departments time, money and manpower.
